Lhana Can Wave!

Today was a big day for Lhana. She is a little over 7 months and finally waved! It is the most precious thing in the world. She has been holding just one hand up a couple of times a day whenever I am near and I just assumed she was reaching or wanting to touch my face. Well, today she held her hand up to Don while he was across the room and waved. She will open and close her hand real slowly and smile. It is oh so precious!

Also, today she went from sitting, to all fours, then back to sitting. Don said that she has been doing this, but today was the first day that I saw it! Each day she is getting more mobile!

10 Year Reunion + Trojan Football

This past weekend was our 10 year high school reunion. Friday night, Don and I took the kids to the Trojan football game. It was Rory's first time attending a football game since he was around 6 months old. He really enjoyed the band warming up for half time and playing/balancing on the cement wall. We were stationed in the far corner of the stadium so it was hard to see the football game. Don and Ellen took Rory to the stands a few times to get a glimpse of all the football players and he really enjoyed that. It was well past Lhana's bedtime, but she was the BEST baby! She was tired and hungry but you never would have known. She smiled and cooed and whimpered not once! It was a great night for some football and reuniting with old classmates!
Aunt El came into town for the football game!
We walked in just as the Star-Spangled Banner was beginning.
Matthew was sos excited to hold Lhana!

We Have A Nature Trail?!?

Someone recently told me that there was a nature trail in Carrollton. What?!? I had no idea. It is behind the Ag Center which is super close to our house. Of course, I had to check it out immediately so Don and I took the kids over the weekend. I would call it a nature trail. More of a Hansel and Gretel type trail. We needed some bread crumbs or rocks or something to leave behind so that we knew how to get back. The trail has not been tended to in some time but could be really nice with a little TLC. Anyways...the kids love being outside and both of them enjoyed our adventure!

Labor Day=Family Day!

We love holidays around here! Holidays mean we get to sit around the house and do nothing. Today is Labor Day so the kids and I stayed in our pajamas and had the day all to ourselves!! I wanted to spend time with the kids, so I did. Rory wanted to paint and color and make a mess, so he did. And Lhana wanted to play play play with things that weren't hers, so she did. Everyone was happy! Labor Day=Family Day at the Riggins' house!

Spits and Giggles

Rory loves to make noises and try to annoy his sister; however, she doesn't find it annoying at all. She loves it! She laughs at him and now has this squeel that she does when he is messing with her. It is great!
