Rory's 1st Trip to the Dentist!
I was a little apprehensive to take Rory to the dentist thinking that he would probably make a huge scene and try to karate chop the hygenist or something. But nope...he did GREAT! I've been seeing Lisa at Dr. Wall's office for a few years now and she has the sweetest, bubbly personality so I knew that she would be great for Rory. It took him about 5 minutes before he would actually open his mouth but he smiled and laughed and let Lisa get all the "sugar bugs" off his teeth. I was sooo proud!

Lhana Rolled Over!!
She did it!! Last night while we were lying in bed Lhana rolled over and I thought it was maybe because my weight beside her on the bed made it easier for her to roll. Well...we tried it this morning on the floor and sure enough she did it again! She is 13.5 weeks! Way to go Lhana!!

LJ @ 3 Months
At 3 months, our little lady:
- Occasionally laughs/squels in delight
- Blows bubbles
- Almost rolls over
- Is another outdoor baby! Whenever she cries or fusses uncontrollably (which happens a good bit) we just take her outside and her mood changes immediately. Crazy what a little sunshine will do! She is the happiest baby in the world when we are outside.
- Loves the bath
- Can grasp her hands together. She sometimes goes cross-eyed looking at them so hard. Hehe!
- Nurses every 3 hours for about 10 minutes at a time.
- Is still not sleeping thru the night. She usually goes for a 5-5.5 hour stretch, then it is back to every 3 hours
- Wears a size 1 diaper but has almost outgrown them
- Naps on her tummy during the day when I can keep my eye on her, but still sleeps on her back in the rock-n-play at night.
- Weighs approx. 12 1/2lbs
- Takes 1-2 longs naps a day and catnaps in between. She usually naps after lunch when Rory does for about 2-3 hours. I occasionally lay down too :)
- Is still sleeping beside our bed in her rock-n-play
- Loves her big brother! She hears his voice nowadays and looks to find him and smiles and coos when he talks to her
- Still hates riding in the car or truck! We have made it a few days without her screaming her head off, so that is progress. But usually it is total chaos! I can hardly think to drive when she is screaming so loudly. She has the highest pitched squeel in the world and its deafening! I roll the windows down occasionally just to break the sound, but I will quickly roll it up at stop signs and red lights. Its quite embarrassing how loud she is. People may think shes hurt or that I am neglecting her, but nope...she just hates to ride that much!
- Grabs at toys that are dangled in front of her. She pulls them to her mouth, but doesn't put them in (yet!).
- Drools buckets!
- Always wants to sit up. She tries to sit up out of her carseat or out of our laps. She likes to see what is going on at all times.
- Still sucks on her dang paci :( I must wean her from it soon. I pray that she doesn't have dinosaur teeth!

The Funny Words of Rory Cole...
Oh my goodness, Rory never fails to crack me up. His little personality is in full bloom and he is one funny character. Each day brings new joy and more laughter. I love my little man. I quickly try to write or type things that he says so that I wont forget them. The list is endless.
We constantly here the words why or whats that. He is so incredibly smart! He questions everything and soaks our answers in very quickly. If I tell him something once, I feel like he will remember it forever! That can be good or bad :)
Here are a few things he has said recently that have made me smile.
As he has his cup turned upside down chugging:
Are you drinking chocolate milk?
R: No, I drinking milk like Lhana from Mama's ta-tas!
(baha!! It was not from my ta-tas. Don't worry. It was skim milk from the gallon. I promise. I guess he thinks all milk comes from my ta-tas)
While I'm trying to download Micromods onto his Leapster:
R: oh lets play that (as he points to a game)
we can't play those Rory
R: lets play that (as he points to a different game)
we cant rory, we have to buy those!
R: oh, lets buy those.
Rory shoves the back door open and comes running in from the backyard and breathlessly says,
Hey, mama! I go in my room. I get my saw. I cut down tree. O'tay?
We go over to my Mom's to visit and Rory goes upstairs to play in Megan's room:
Rory, come downstairs and hang out with MiMi and Pop.
R: No...I just stay up here on the roof of the house. (ha! Upstairs at MiMi's= the roof)
As we are pulling into the driveway from school:
R: Don't run over Daddy's grass Mama!
I didn't
R: Yes you did. I saw you.
While riding in the car as Lhana is screaming at the top of her lungs!
R: Be quiet Lhana.
She continues to cry
R: I said to be quiet, Lhana.
More crying
R: Lhana, I told you one time. You cry some more, you will have to go to time out.
I just love him to no end!!!

Lhana's Toothless Grin!
Finally after a month or two I was able to snap a photo of my precious baby girl's smile. Either the flash throws her off or the camera itself, but I caught her this time...barely!

2012 Field Day @ NPCA
Today was Rory's Field Day at school and end of the year party. It lasted from 9am-Noon and boy was it hot outside! However, the kids hardly noticed and had a ball! They traveled around the world doing different activities in each place that they visited. He got to put-put in Ireland, play soccer/hockey in Australia, carry water on his head in Uganda, bounce around in Mexico, and play tug-of-war somewhere else afar. Once they were done traveling around the world, Rory cooled off with a freezing cold strawberry snow cone!! It was so fun for the little ones!
Mrs. Porter telling Rory how awesome he did at Field Day and how much she loves him while giving him his super cool medal!
Mrs. Porter's K-2 class!
Lhana enjoyed Field Day too!

Donkey Date
Jessica, Lyla, and Kerri came in town, so we met up with them for dinner. Rory and Lyla have a blast together! They act like two crazies when they get together and neither one of them ever stops smiling!
Leaving the Donkey we saw this cool rainbow!

Abbey's 4th Birthday Party
Rory's best friend, Abbey, had her 4th birthday party on Saturday and Sunday. She is his best friend, but also our neighbor. Her dad rented one of those huge blow up jumpies with 2 waterslides and a pool at the bottom. The kids has a blast. The party started at 1:00 and we didn't get home that evening until 6 if that lets you know how much fun we had. Rory was non-stop on the slide. He slid down and raced around to do it again, acting like each time down the slide was his first. He did this for 5 hours!! And each time he would come down the slide and race back to the steps, he would slip and fall down. Every.single.time!! It was hilarious, but he never got hurt and never complained!
It always dawns on me how fast Rory is growing when we go to parties and such. He acts like such a big boy and loves to be around older kids. He loves to interact with them and it amazes me how well he does so and how much more he knows than I realize!I love to watch him but it also makes me sad that my first baby is growing up so quickly! I need time to slow down...

The big kids had some fun too! (Please notice Scarlette posing. She thought I was taking her picture!! haha!)
This is the outfit Rory chose to wear over to Abbey's on Sunday to play on the slides again. A beanie?? Very appropriate for 80 degree weather, huh? Kids will be kids!

Mayfest 2012
This weekend was Mayfest. It was held on Cinco-de-Mayo so it was incredibly packed! We only stayed long enough to let Rory play in one of the bounce houses, stroll quickly around the square to make sure there wasn't something that we just couldn't live without, grab some boiled peanuts and a snow cone and we were out! It was hot as Haiti outside and all 4 of us were sweating bullets.
Can you guess what color snow cone Rory ate?

A Little Too Small...
Rory just cannot keep his hands off of all Lhana's baby stuff. Its as if they are constantly calling his name. I find him in her swing, her exersaucer, and sitting in her bath chair. I got onto him the first few times I found him, but now I just let him do it. I want them to share things and I don't want him to feel like she is favored or that everything is Lhana's. So now when I find him bouncing around in her exersaucer, all I do is laugh...
Enjoying Nutella Toast for breakfast!
