Rory's 3 Year Old Well-Check!

Yes, we had two Dr's appointments this week. Ahh! I asked if they could see both the kids on the same day at the same time and was given two seperate appointments. I was in no mood to argue.

So today was Rory's 3 year old appointment. It went well. He always behaves when we go somewhere, but he wouldn't show off his skills. He got a little shy and wouldn't talk to the nurses. He just did what they asked of him and was ready to go! We packed a tiny tootsie-roll sucker in his pocket if he did well.

Weight: 35lbs
Height: 37inches

His stats are good, but apparently could be better! He is a tad short which Hello?!? He has no chance of being 6ft. tall. We know this already! However, I did not think that he was overweight, but apparently he is. By about 4-5lbs. ha! I laught because I think he is perfect and stocky, not overweight. I mean the kid is like a rock! Try picking him up!

Anywho... so I have always been so proud in the past when he has been in the 75th percentile for weight, but clearly it is nothing to be too proud of. Dr. McCormick told us that we should aim for the 50th percentile and that the 75th percentile is a little on the heavier side. Since childhood obesity is rising and such a large concern these days, she just wanted us to be aware and just keep a watchful eye on his diet and such. She told us to cut back on his cheese intake which is going to be like taking away his favorite toy. He LOVES cheese in every form! He drinks a cup of juice a day and we were told to cut this down to maybe once a week. Poor kid! He's going to get all his favortite things taken away from him! Either way, today's appointment went well and our big boy is just that, one big boy!! And I love it!

Lhana's One Month Well Check

Today was Lhana's one month well-check visit. She did great! She slept the entire 35 minutes in the waiting room, woke up and was an angel while she was weighed and measured. She ate a "snack" while we waited on doc, and then she was an angel while she was examined. She is such a good baby! She got her second Hep B shot and did cry for that of course, but only for a second or two. She will go back in one month for her 2-month well check. She is still a wee little one!

Weight: 8lbs 12oz
Height: 21inches

Lhana is still nursing like a champ about every 2-2.5 hours. Rory goes to bed around 8:30 -9 and I try to get her down between 9-10. She will then sleep for 4.5-5 hours, wake to nurse, then back to her 2-2.5 hour schedule. I'm hoping the 5 hour stretch continues to stretch into 6-7 hours. Rory was sleeping through the night by 7 weeks, so I am hoping she will do the same.

Little Sister is One Month Old Today!

Lhana is already one month old. It was a beautiful day outside, so we took the time for a little photo shoot. She has changed so much in just one month. Unbelievable!

Two Kids, 1 Picture!

Finally, Rory will allow his sister to be next to him. He will even touch her now. Check these out! I asked him to let her lay on his lap so I could take some pics. Hilarious! I feel like I should make a flip book of these pictures! Notice how he gradually eases her off of him! hahaha
 Tummy time!
Then I lay Lhana in the floor and look who joined us! Such a sweet big brother!
Talking to her and checking her out!
 Showing her his game!
 Kisses!
Pure cuteness!

Lhana--2 Weeks

Lhana is 2 weeks old and so alert. She has finally gained a little weight and now weighs 7lbs 4oz. She is still so tiny but so precious!
My precious baby girl at two weeks! Notice Rory at the beginning of the video. I caught him playing peek-a boo with her, but as soon as I started recording he played it off like he was just looking at her. Such a sneak he is. He loves her even if he wont admit it yet :)

Getting Clean!

How cute is this?

I made sure to get Rory's permission before letting Lhana take a bath with him. Surprisingly, he was rather excited about it. He helped me bath and rinse her off (with a cold cup of water he dumped on her).
