We have a walker!

Little miss sunshine has officially started walking! She's gotta be the world's smallest walker! She is still so tiny and it looks so funny to see her walk. She is just shy of her first birthday and weighs in at 18lbs, 27.5 in. She is saying all kinds of words and started to put words together. She can now say mama, dada, eat, night-night, bye bye, ball. Paw paw, hey. She has 7 teeth now. 3 that broke through over the past week! Since she is oh so sweet and perfect, we had no idea she was even teething!! Not sure how we got so lucky, but we sure are blessed!

Easter is Coming

Sick baby girl

The time has come...sweet baby does not feel good at all. Her first illness. She caught a cold from Hana and has now developed bilateral ear infections. 😭 It started Monday with a cough and mild fever, restless night and 104 temp on Tues, then a Dr. Visit on Wed. She's is on an antibiotic and hopefully will feel better in no time. I miss her happy face and bright eyes!

Dr. Seuss' Birthday!

Today Rory's class celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday and Read Across America Day by...reading!! I still can't believe our sweet boy can read. He amazes me by the words he recognizes and how many books he can read. It feels like he learned over night. So thankful for his school, teachers, and also so so proud of our little Hornet! He such a smarty!

Our baby is 10 months!

9 months

Sweet cakes is 9 months and still and sweet and perfect as the day she was born. She wakes up happy and goes to bed happy. She is a Momma's girl.
At 9 months she is:

- Pulling up on everything and starting to cruise around.
- Nursing every 4-5 hours
- Has 4, almost 5 teeth
- Sleeps all night from about 7:30-6:30 or later if we let her
- Is in between baby food and table food. She snacks on puffs, cheerios, bread, noodles,etc but still eats baby food as the bulk of her meal.
- Loves bath time and gets giddy when she hears the water come on
- Sleeps in her crib in our room...still. I just don't have the nerve to put her in the room with Lhana just yet.
- Says bye bye, dada, bah (ball),  and occasionally I can get a baba (mama) out of her.
- Waves, claps
- Has figured object permanence. She drops things then looks for them. She is very into putting toys in and taking them out of things and opening and closing things.
- Sucks her thumb and twirls/pulls her hair when she is sleepy.

Snaggletooth

Sweet Jesus this girl is cute! Sloan has 3 teeth so far and that snaggletooth gets me everytime! The 4th, and second top tooth, should be shining through anyday now.

Schoolin'

Our little kindergartener doing homework. Grandma Ivey gave Rory this school desk when he was just a baby and now our precious school boy can use it. He's working on arranging numbers in order and writing words that rhyme with his site words. Such a smarty!!

Diva!

Lhana had her first experience at the nail salon this weekend and to say she was in heaven would be an understatement. She sat as still as a statue and chose for her nails to be purple and green. She is growing up way too quickly!

Ali, Peter, and Maelyn came over for dinner Saturday night. We had so much fun and played so well together.

My Poor Big Girl!

Our poor little sassafras wasn't feeling so hot today and we made a trip to the ER. Poor girl had a fever, cough, and very fast breathing along with some retracting. We gave her nebs at home but nothing seemed to help. She wasn't eating and coughed so hard a few times that she threw up. I took her to work with me to check her out and she seemed worthy of an ER visit. Turns out that sassy has pneumonia. Poor babe!

Sloan's 6 Month Well-Check

Sweet cheeks is still just as tiny as she was the day she was born. She now weighs 15lbs 4oz, 10th percentile. Ha! She was 25th percentile for height. No shocker there. 

Our Little Cupcake

Lhana was a cupcake for her Halloween party at school and boy was she excited! They had a parade at school and she brought home lots of treats. 

Lhana Goes To School!

Yesterday was Lhana's first day at Ms. Marni's Preschool (CFUMC). She was pumped and did excellent. She didn't care to tell me bye or anything. She walked right on in and started playing. Such a big girl!
